Description

Buenavista is a historic coffee farm located in the lush highlands of San MartĂn Jilotepeque, Guatemala. With a rich legacy spanning over a century, the farm is managed by the Solano family, currently led by Eddy and David Solano, who represent the fourth generation of coffee producers. Their deep-rooted knowledge, commitment to quality, and sustainable farming practices have helped Buena Vista become a respected name in the world of specialty coffee.

For more than 100 years, Buenavista has dedicated itself to producing coffees that reflect both the unique terroir of the region and the Solano family’s expertise. The farm’s elevation, microclimate, and carefully selected varieties contribute to the complex and vibrant profiles found in their beans. Located at altitudes ranging from 1,570 to 1,650 meters above sea level, the farm benefits from cooler temperatures and fertile volcanic soils, ideal for slow cherry maturation.

Covering a total area of 10 hectares, Buena Vista receives an average annual rainfall of 1,370 mm and maintains a temperate climate with average temperatures between 18°C and 22°C. These growing conditions help develop refined flavors and aromatic complexity in the cup. The farm cultivates a range of carefully chosen varieties, including Caturra, Yellow and Red Bourbon, and Geisha, all processed with meticulous attention to detail to bring out their best qualities.

Buena Vista’s heritage, combined with a modern approach to quality and sustainability, ensures that each harvest delivers coffee of exceptional clarity, sweetness, and balance.
