Description

Region: This coffee is sourced from the Gedeb district in the Gedeo Zone, part of the Southern Nations, Nationalities, and Peoples’ Region (SNNPR) in south-central Ethiopia. Gedeb is known for its high-altitude farms and commitment to quality, making it a key area for premium Ethiopian coffees.

Farm / Producers: The coffee is produced by numerous smallholder farmers who collaborate with organizations such as SNAP Coffee Producers. These groups work to improve coffee quality and processing methods, particularly in the high-altitude areas above 2,000 meters, where cooler temperatures enhance the coffee’s flavor development and consistency.

Altitude: 1,800–2,100 meters above sea level
Variety: Ethiopian Heirloom
Processing Method: Carbonic Maceration – an innovative fermentation technique where whole coffee cherries are fermented in a controlled, carbon dioxide-rich environment. This process develops unique fruity and floral flavors, enhancing complexity and sweetness.
Tasting Notes: Berries • Citrus • Peach • White Sugar
Cup Profile: Bright and vibrant with juicy berry and citrus notes, complemented by soft peach sweetness and a clean, sugary finish.
